The Lake Institute on Faith & Giving, part of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, is seeking an Associate Research Scholar to join our team.
About the Position: The Associate Research Scholar will play a crucial role in managing, conducting, analyzing, and producing scholarly research and public reports in the interdisciplinary field of religion and philanthropy. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with existing datasets and foster new research partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in research projects
- Clean, analyze, and contribute to large datasets
- Conduct qualitative interviews and code qualitative data
- Analyze latest trends in faith and giving
- Develop and extend new research agendas and projects
- Coordinate academic research and produce public reports
- Translate research for practitioners and public audiences
Qualifications:
- M.A. required, Ph.D. preferred in social sciences or adjacent humanities
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in nonprofits, fundraising, education, social science research, or related field
- Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Strong communication skills for academic and public audiences
