Travel Grant

The Religious Research Association has allocated funds to enable members to participate in the SSSR+RRA annual meeting. Financial assistance of up to $500 is available for RRA members presenting papers in designated RRA sessions. Award preference is given to student members and members living outside the United States.

To be considered for an RRA Travel Grant, applicants must:

  • Be a member of the Religious Research Association.
  • Submit a paper proposal designated for RRA by March 31.
  • Submit a completed application form in the Member Area by June 15.

The application form requests contact information, presentation plans, any additional sources of travel funding, and details about the paper proposal. A link to the application form is provided below.

Applicants should download the form, enter all requested information, and submit the completed form electronically by June 15. A paper proposal also must be submitted using the on-line submission system by March 31.

Use the link in the new Members-only area to submit the grant application form.  Note that you must have a current membership to apply for a travel grant.

Applications received after the deadline will not necessarily receive consideration. Grantees will be notified by email by July 15. Grant checks will be distributed in person at the SSSR+RRA meeting.
